Apple broke some records with iPhone pre-orders but also got a lot of criticism for problems with its new non-Google Maps app.
A video surfaced of Mitt Romney claiming 47% of Americans are mindless dependents. Romney also released his tax returns from last year. These actions received a lot of commentary and criticism from the media.
Meanwhile, the Obama administration’s Libya story continued to unravel.

Optimists think the trading partners with aging demographics have a strong incentive to figure something out. So far there have been some protests in China but nothing terribly concerning.
Violence continued in Syria. It seems like the rebels may be gaining control of some areas of the country, but it doesn’t seem like Assad is planning on giving up power any time soon.
